Stoneware Jars

Yelloware 12-Sided Jar with Original Willoughby Stopple as found in a 1860's Cellar. The Stopple is Marked Willoughby's with the Patent Date. Wing Nut is Pewter Metal in Form and Steel Stopple still has remnants of original Black Finish.

This section will include Stoneware jars specifically used for canning and the preservation of food products. We will not cover larger size crocks and jugs. Stenciled Stoneware canners will be a future project that will have it’s own page.

This Page is Still Undergoing Construction, as you know there are so many Jars to add, expect daily changes to the site. Please submit feedback to our email: admin@historicalglasscollectorssociety.com
