Condition: Very Good with only one flat outer chip on ground mouth area. Several fine surface scratches to outer cover glass. Zoom feature we have built in will make this look far worse than in hand.
Closure: Glass lid with Patent Dates- PATD FEB.12.56. DEC.17.61. NOV.4.62. DEC.6.64. AND SEP 1 68DEC 22 68 JAN 19 69.  Solid Zinc Band -No pinholes and screws on snug.
Embossing Strength:Â Strongly embossed and HFJCo is readable inside Cross Logo

Mold Notes: Embossing style is cut low on the front of this jar and “R” in IMPROVED was corrected in this mold instead of IMPPOVED. Use Zoom function to see the arm bar for the letter “R” added and connected low below the loop on “P”. The “O” in Mason’s may also have been left off of initial mold and possibly added to correct this error. A very interesting jar to study.
